Two of the UK’s recognised leaders in enterprise virtual reality, technology platform provider Immerse and learning content studio, Make Real Ltd, have formed a partnership to enable enterprise organisations to access a library of virtual reality training content that will be available through the Immerse Platform.
Only 14% of the world’s major companies are not currently engaged with immersive technology at some level, and with current challenges faced as a result of the Covid-19 crisis accelerating the need to find alternative training solutions through digital platforms, this number is set to diminish even further in 2021. With the increase in demand, Immerse saw their software license revenues grow by more than 300% in the last 12 months.
This partnership will create an all-in-one solution for enterprise organisations, highlighting the strength and capabilities of the UK VR industry to a global customer base, with customers already including Shell, DHL, Vodafone and Lloyds Banking Group. This initiative is the first step for Immerse in their pursuit to build an ecosystem where the Immerse Platform will empower and enable organisations to embrace the future of training in the workplace.
Sam Watts, Immersive Partnerships Director at Make Real Ltd comments: “Since going on the road to promote our immersive experiences at events from 2014 onwards, we have always had a great, supportive relationship with Immerse, often sharing expo floors and crossovers of clients and sectors we both focus on and service within. As we move forwards into 2021 and the rapidly growing enterprise marketplace, it is the right time to formalise a strategic partnership to bring the experience and unique strengths of both companies together. This will form a unified solution of a virtual reality software platform combined with engaging content, providing the best outcomes for enterprise customers of learning and measurement.”
Tom Symonds, CEO at Immerse, adds: “Partnering with Make Real is a fantastic step in our endeavour to enable all businesses to capitalise on the opportunity offered by immersive technology in a rapidly changing world. This collaborative offering will enable companies to import and deploy world-class content on a powerful platform, with minimal setup and expertise required. Immerse prides itself on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges across businesses processes, and we hope that this will be the first of many partnerships of this nature.”
Immerse’s Software Development Kit (SDK), houses a vast array of enterprise-ready VR content covering topics including health and safety, business development, design, manufacturing and soft skills training. Using the Immerse Platform, this content can be easily and securely deployed and scaled across organisations, delivering efficacy and data-driven insight.
The initial library of Make Real immersive learning experiences to be made compatible and available through the Immerse Platform include:
End Point Assessment: Electrical, plumbing and air-con refrigeration & maintenance VR training and assessment scenarios based upon NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship certification (Available on HTC Vive)
